Considering released, when, 1978, this is superb and timeless. Much appreciated.

I don't think they are that well-known in America, unlike The Police, who were another three-piece around the same time and more commercial. They are just a bit too English and Paul Weller doesn't even try to mimic an American accent like Robert Plant or Mick Jagger. Weller always wrote great lyrics - you can hear that in other stuff like Eton Rifles and That's Entertainment and many others. They're well worth diving into if you want to listen to something different.

I love three-piece bands. Was in one for 17 years. The drummer of that band was right into that album and made no bones about it, and I eventually warmed up to it as well. How a metal drummer in a central BC Canadian town had that in his arsenal is baffling. I think he had a secret passion for relatively unheard-of Brit music.

When it comes to music we piss all over the Americans.

Dave Grohl copped a bunch of disco for Nirvana. I think it's cool.

A super group that I would love to hear is Paul Weller, the guy from the Plimsoles (sp?) and Clem Burke from Blondie. Those dudes are all on the same page but in different chapters.

I saw Clem Burke drumming for the Plimsoles and he shouted numerous times "Keith Moon is dead!"

Eh, nevermind...

I have a free trial of Sirius XM and I haven't used it for 2 months, I rarely listen to it when I've had access to it in the past. So I tune into the 1960s Channel and I'm listening to a bunch of stuff that just bothers the fuck out of me and on comes secret agent man. What the fuck? Who's fucking clapping on that song? Was it drinking or an innate amount of whiteness? To say they couldn't keep a beat is being too kind and generous. Since I'm driving while riding this, there may be many errors. I shouldn't say writing this, I'm using voice recognition. Still, what the fuck?
