6-9-22  An interesting look at a box camera, circa 1922.

When did they start using touches of color!?!
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

I started adding a bit of color because I was getting kind of tired of the old black and white illustrations. It pleases my eyes to see a spot of color. They began to print color Our Boarding House strips in 1950, but only the Sunday editions. The daily comics remained in black and white.

6-23-22  1922, when people used ice boxes rather than refrigerators. It would take another ten years before refrigerators would start to appear in houses, and twenty (1940s) before they would come into widespread use.

What?! The 40’s? That’s crazy.
