My sister and her husband spread an electric blanket over the couch for the winter and leave it on low full time. For the cats to sit on.

We had a Flexsteel sofa when the kids were young. It lasted pretty well even with them jumping on it. Not sure it will do 30 years. Maybe if you don't sit on it.

It was. I liked it. The one we have now isn't as comfy. The new dog sofa (loveseat) is pretty comfy but it's small. I have to sit on it when my wife is at work. It being for the dogs and all.
