It was a prank.

Probably so but I've always had a hard time believing a bunch of engineering students could build some kind of flying vehicle that could land and take off the way it did according to Zamora. And then there's the question if it was indeed a prank why those who were involved never went public to divulge the real story - sure would have been a ton of interest and some money.  Happened in 1964, the students would be in their late 70s now. They'd have suffered no negative consequences for coming forward with the story how they pulled it off and whether they targeted Zamora. If an elaborate prank, why not go all the way and create little green men costumes?

The best open lines topic I ever heard Bell do was "Dates from Hell" (or something similar).   One dizzy sounding gal called in and started telling him about this guy she went out and to bed with, apparently he was both well endowed and extremely flexible. She sort of rambled, Bell peppering her with questions and milking the story for all it was worth. It was obvious where she was going with the story, and Bell let her get right up to the point of saying the guy sucked his own dick before he cut her off and casually went to his next call. I damn near wet myself laughing.

Wait. What?  Oh, I have to check out the archive for that one.  ;D

There's definitely something to be said for articulation.  One might have an incredible story to tell, but actually telling it seems a struggle to many guests.  And some guests could probably tell a good story fairly well, but struggle in a conversation format.  When you have on two guests practically every show, you're guaranteed to find those guests more frequently.

I have absolutely no interest in higher consciousness or astrology or the like, but it seems to me those guests tend to be more natural conversationalists.  We need the Numbers Lady to start hunting Bigfoot.

Like you, I have no interest in  higher consciousness or astrology, etc, but I've heard enough shows as background noise.  You're right.  The guests get their point across and are easy talkers.

Sometimes I think it's the time when the program is on.  I could see a guest being fatigued at 2:00 am and trying to put some thoughts together.  All I know is if there was a drinking game, and every time "you know" was spoken, I would've been smashed within the first 30 minutes of last night's program.  You know?  ;)   :D

I listen to Coast with a meter gauge in my head trying to decide if the guest is a complete charlatan on the left of the meter or a total nutbag on the right.

thinking about it, a charlatan knows he's full of shit and a real nutjob is dysfunctional. a lot of the Coast guests do believe the ridiculous bullshit they spew, they aren't charlatans, and they aren't truly crazy - guess the middle ground is just idiots and losers trying to boost their self esteem and make some money believing they are experts in some thing. Paranormal research community is filled with losers who couldn't cut it in any other walk of life with a few exceptions.

Hoagland believes his bullshit, he so badly wanted to be a Carl Sagan, he convinced himself he could do that without paying the dues of higher education, that it isn't necessary to actually have a PhD or even a fucking B Sci
to do real science. He's way closer to wacko than to charlatan.

Noory while interviewing his occult guest tonight could only remember the evil witch he saw in The Wizard of Oz movie as a kid.
He was scared of her cackle!

hahaha sales for that Everett Washington live joke of a show must be in the toilet. Noory threatened 'Folks this could be the last show in Everett for a long time' and then to entice people who've already made the mistake before to waste their money on one of his live shows he assured them 'ALL NEW SONGS!'

Noory in the studio all night long polishing up the new songs.  ;D

shameless imbecile.

He's obviously over-exposed himself to Everett. Maybe Tommy was getting a great rate for the hall and they were making a ton of money. Thing is, even good bands don't play the same venue too often.

Why hasn't he gone to Branson or Nashville? He's got so many friends in the music industry, right? Why hasn't he gone to a venue in Southern California that's larger than, say, an Olive Garden restaurant meeting room?

His going to Everett over and over might be analogized with the hot and bubbly girl (guy for George) who was entertaining for the first couple of dates and then got boring after all her cute expressions were used up and her vapid self surfaces.

Maybe New Orleans should be on his list of venues, right @Jayzelady? He could have a voodoo specialist, ghost people and maybe a JFK person that all relates to what went on in the city.

I did a Google search and one on the coast website. Precious little history is shown. My guess is that the ones on the coast website were canceled due to the pandemic. And there's no real search results because it's not like people went home blown away and wanting to write about it.

I’d rather have Bigfoot hunting the Numbers Lady.  ;)

That's hilarious.  Perhaps he could lure her with all the Jack Links he hoarded from all those smart aleck tricksters.  A film crew could capture it all in a series called "Messin' with Glynis".

can't wait until the Everett show gets cancelled and Noory makes up some bullshit excuse for the cancellation other than poor ticket sales because his show sucks so bad that even his fans in Everett won't piss away their money any longer on his garbage presentation.
