OK miller/Damon, etc. whoever you are... JC was performed by a man likely comparable in age to Art Bell. It has long been discussed that Art would have friends create characters for some theater of the mind bits for his show.

A few years ago, C2C called the actual person who played JC for an appearance. While the basic timbre of the voice stayed the same, it was quite obvious that the person was suffering from either age-related lung capacity issues along with a raspy voice, or, quite possibly suffering from COPD as so many from that generation did and do. As people age, elasticity of the vocal cords often deteriorate as well. That's why you hear Paul McCartney having a really difficult time singing his ballads. His gravely rock and roll voice is still mostly intact.

Whether or not he was a character arranged by Art Bell to appear on the show or was a truly independent person, unknown to the show prior to the first appearance, the person who portrayed JC Webster is likely dead. If you had to bet, bet on dead. If alive, there's no way that the person would sound like the old JC. We have heard the old JC in the last decade. Since JC was a very popular bit on his show, there are people who emulate the old JC voice. It's like Beatlemania.

Somebody imitating the vintage era JC Webster is an homage. Problem is, the people that are imitating him have nowhere the quick wit of the beloved JC Webster. Sure, Beatlemania featured Aldo Nova and Marshall Crenshaw. How long did their careers last doing their own material?

Get off the JC horse, it's gotten old. RiP JC Webster III.

Had the show on while taking a shower. I think it was the 1:00 hour Pacific Time... Two or three calls got a bit of a word in and went to dial tone. After Tom from La Jolla got through and frenched ass, another caller got through said something, got a dead air response from sNoory although he may have mumbled something and went to the next call...

I checked out the theater in Oregon he's bringing The George Noory Experience stage show too - run down old theater they took most of the seats out of, replaced with tables, looks like maybe 250-300 people max. The theater rarely has anything booked.
