Horrible situation because some loser decided that driving safely wasn't important enough...  This could really hurt the rest of his financial life.

And the NFL draft is two weeks from Thursday.  I read a clip that it has required multiple surgeries, per his agent.  It was a multi car accident apparently.

What I read is truck driving dude head-ons footballer's Impala (not a good match...). Then other people hit the truck. After an acquaintance's fatal accident, I bought my kids SUVs.

Horrible, horrible for someone facing a draft. Innocent too. It's not like he was drunk driving or anything.

Jalen Carter falls into the Lions lap and they weasel and trade the pick. Holmes the GM seems to know what he is doing but I would have pulled the trigger there.

I would not touch Jalen Carter with a ten foot pole.  He has Jamarcus Russell written all over him.

Quite possible. If not the Eagles just got even better.

Then Lions take a RB that they really don't need that most had pegged as a 2nd rounder.   The boys over on the Lions forum are taking it well. LoL

I think that the Eagles can afford to gamble.  Makes sense for them.

The Lions had a winning record and it frightened them.  They need to get back to the safety and security of the cellar.

Apparently so. Another odd pick in the 1st round.

Philly has some good, solid veterans on that D Line who can help this kid if he can be helped.  A great pick followed up by another with Nolan Smith.  Georgia Eagles!

There’s lots of optimism in Jacksonville.  That’s usually a bad sign.
Merry Christmas

If I were running the show with the Lions, I would have taken Smith as well. However the nerds down in the nerdery say the Lions had the best draft of any team.  Could there be...hope?
