I accept this mission. My guess is:
1-Witch hazel
2-Aloe Vera
3-Vinegar
Wash your hair several times a week with your effective dandruff “heair” treatment. Make sure your treatment reaches the roots of your hair. Take a good brush to your hair. You will never become engaged again with bad hair.
So sorry A READER.  Mighty Moose beard oil is waiting to be invented. If you were alive in 2019, you could rub some Smokehouse Blend Beard Balm into your hair.

Geez Louise! What is a "grass-widow?" Coin toss time for me. NO it is not proper for you to wear this engagement ring on either hand. If this grass eater ever returns, give the ring back to him.

+1 ;) ;D

I don't have Smokehouse.  What about Sweet Baby Ray's Blend Beard Balm? ::)

                                          What Will Mrs. Thompson Say?

Mrs. Thompson has developed an effective dandruff treatment that consists of a single ingredient mixed with soft water.  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to guess that ingredient.  (You can make up to three guesses but any more than that will result in a zero.)  Once you have mixed the formula, please give A Reader directions for use.  Separately, you may also tell her how to deal with the oily hair.  And last, but certainly not least, is it OK for her to wear the ring and if so, on which hand? Lots of Double Points Friday points to be had on this quiz, so have at it.

Well.
Each shampoo wash hair with soap.
Appy vinegar, leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse it away

Ring can be worn on the right hand.

@StarrMountain if A READER wants a new man in her life. She should use BACON Beard Balm.  More fun than a barrel of monkeys for A READER if her hair had the aroma of bacon.  ;D

I watched an episode of Perry Mason a few nights back, called 'The Case of the Difficult Detour' about this guy who owned a road building company and just when he was about to finish a job that would have brought him lots of money and saved his company from going belly up, the authorities moved in and put a halt to the project.  Turns out that that the road was being built on someone else's property.  The owner of the road company was a big, kind hearted man but he had a fiery temper.  When the guy who swindled him with the wrong detour turned up murdered everyone thought that the road building guy did it, but not Perry Mason.  No sireee.  Now that much, I understood but I can't for the life of me, figure out how Perry put the finger on the real murderer.  I don't think Hamilton Burger could either.  Or Paul, Della, or Police Lt. Tragg.  Or the judge and the jury for that matter.  Honestly, I think they let Perry win the case because he's f-ing Perry Mason.  Cheers, Shay!  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0673242/?ref_=ttep_ep21
That episode sounds familiar. I will have to watch that episode again and see how Perry solved the case. Perry Mason is one of those iconic series that has been unmatched in style and story telling.

Sulphur!  Who would have guessed?  None of us, apparently.  But rubbing the stuff in falls under directions of use, so some points were scored there.  Likewise treating the oily hair with repeated washings.  The ring had a nice cut and dry answer.  Two points for saying yes, it is OK to wear the ring and another two points for putting the ring on the right hand.

Shay P.: 6 points
juan: 6 points
Mr. Apnea: 6 points
anniem: 6 points
BartEllProducer: 4 points
Gravity Sucks: 4 points
Bart Ell: 2 points
StarrMountain: 2 points

Interesting. She treats the dandruff with sulfuric acid. We vinegar guessers were suggesting acetic acid. Mrs. Thompson is stern stuff.

Congratulations @Bart Ell
Merry Christmas

@Rikki Gins   Okay.  When's the next one.  These things are intoxicating.  I need more Mrs. Thompson!!!

In more ways than one.  She's a real looker, but I've never seen her.  She hasn't seen me either.  A real woman of mystery, if ya catch my drift.  I don't.

Divorce ASAP.  No reason to try anything, no reason to wait.  Get it done, go back to Daddy, then look for a new farmer boy toy.

Well well well!  I got what I asked for.  Hmmm...

Take your father's advise and come home...get the divorce!  Your husband should never strike you, and he should be grateful for whatever food is provided especially since he isn't contributing to the table.  You and your children will be better off being back with your father.

Divorce him.
Other option is to burn down the house when he is asleep.
