              What Will Mrs. Thompson Say?

Mrs. Thompson will answer all five of Helen's questions.  In regards to question number two, there are two words that Helen can say to the guy.  Every correct answer is worth two points.

1.  Yes. It is not is not. In English, Yes. Take his coat and hat
2.  Call again
3.  Yes. Or you can suggest a time
4.  Some specific place. Not anyplace. May I suggest a grammar seminar for the first date
5.  Only invite him back if you and he are so inclined. But having to decipher your Yoda English may make this iffy

I despair of these Centennials ever making any difference except ruining the English language

I want to know if Mrs. William Danmeyer was held captive in that trap by the Mr. when given that ring. Otherwise why would it still be there under the floor in the trap? Asking for a friend...  ;D

Dear Helen,

First, you need to take some courses in proper grammar and sentence structure.

The answers to your questions are:
1. Yes take his coat and hat.
2. Call again.
3. It would be fine if he does specify a time to call again.
4. Yes, if it is an appropriate place for a first "date" outside your home, preferably with other people around.
5. Of course she may ask him to call again if she wishes him to, but she should not say it if she doesn't mean it. Is that what you are asking in your confusing way?

Mrs. Thompson should get extra points herself, imho, for sorting out these confusingly phrased questions.

Thank you, Mr. @Rikki Gins, I did not expect to come in fourth last month and was pleasantly surprised. I am happy to be showing up in the list at all! This is more fun than I expected it to be, so thank you again.

Thank you @Bart Ell, @juan, @anniem, @Mr Apnea, @TigerLily, @PolkaDot, @Starbuck Twitch, @FISH and @Aquarius, for playing the What Will Mrs. Thompson Say? game.

1. Show the man where to put his coat and hat rather than doing it for him.
2. Say 'Come again.'  (Or 'call again,' same difference.)
3. Yes, some men will set up a future meeting as they leave, others will make arrangements later.
4. Yes.
5. A girl should not ask a man to call unless he shows an inclination to do so.   (Starbuck Twitch was spot on in noticing the typo.)  This was a confusing, somewhat missleading question, therefore everyone got 2 points for it.

Bart Ell: 8 points
juan: 8 points
Mr Apnea: 8 points
PolkaDot: 8 points
Starbuck Twitch: 8 points
anniem: 8 points
TigerLily: 8 points
FISH: 8 points
Aquarius: 8 points

You can win 10 points if your advice to Blue Eyes is somewhat similar to that of Mrs. Thompson's.

Dear Bluie,
If you are indeed young, you should go out with many boys so that you learn what is to like and dislike. Your mother probably thinks the one boy has a good future, so that’s something to consider. Perhaps you can get the out of town boy to take you to Piqua where it seems they make oyster ice cream.
Merry Christmas

If there is no dry humping going on then it is fine to have multiple boyfriends.
It is also ok to have multiple boyfriends if there is dry humping going on.
What is my point? Feel free to dry hump as many boys as you want but do not dry hump them at night.

Party on.  Hang with the boys all you like in the day.  Reserve the nights for a future boy that you get serious with.
