Police in Pensacola, Fla., were called to Bob Tyler Toyota last week after a customer looking at green 2010 Jeep Wrangler was taken aback by a feature not usually found on that particular model: a naked woman masturbating in the backseat.

The “horrible” smelling vehicle needed to immediately be sent for detailing, the dealership claimed. Damages were estimated at $1,300.

I used to live in an apartment right next door to a Hare Krishna hive.  I knew they had free food but never went over for any.  Shame on me, I didn't think all vegetarian would be worth it, now I know how wrong that was.  Dang.

In my defense, as far as I know George Harrison never showed up there either.

I lived in that apartment for a couple years over 20 years ago.  I don't really remember seeing any of them come and go, the building was next to our parking lot, with a fence between, and set back from the street, and I didn't even go that way much. 

I do remember a sign out front, and sometimes the front door was open and there were a bunch of people inside like they were having a party, but that's about it.

Before I lived there, I used to see them march around Berkeley chanting and banging on drums or something - I didn't pay much attention but I wondered where they lived, figured it must be fairly near the campus around Telegraph Ave.  I found out, that's for sure.

Did it seem like it was all men, or mostly men?  I think so, don't really remember.  I haven't seen them around at all after I moved out, and I don't think I even saw them marching around town 10 years before that.

In the San Diego area there was a Krishna Temple a short bike ride away in a community called Pacific Beach. Because of the George Harrison connection, me and a couple of Beatle friends went down there. Great food and really nice people.. I think there might have been one woman in the whole group and she didn't have the shaved head (remember that she was a strawberry blonde with really fine hair - this is 40 years ago!).  Also on the college campuses, I don't remember ever seeing women in the group.

Of course, like the Mormons who are extremely nice when just encountering them randomly, I think after a while of being close to them, they become more noticeably problematic.  I remember hearing about complaints by community members. I don't know what it was, probably noise. Come to think of it, parking was a premium down there so it was probably that.

When I was 7 I shot a good sized bat with my 22 from about 7-8" away. It was just hanging off the barbwire gate. It spun around about 10 or so times and then returned to the position that found it. No blood. No nothing. Freaked me the fuck out and I ran back to the house.
