I grew up in San Gabriel Valley. At the time of my childhood noted for its smog, Santa Ana winds and earthquakes. I've been in earthquakes so strong they have knocked me off my feet. Santa Ana winds so strong they could knock a Volkswagen with 4 teenaged girls off the road. And smog so heavy it left me with permanent brain and lung damage. Ah the Los Angeles Basin. A real garden spot. But the smog is much reduced from when I was a kid thanks to strong environmental laws.  And the local music rocked

For the life of me, thought that you couldn't use a coffin more than once. Even with cremation situations... I thought it was one of those things put into law because funeral home lobbyists were influencing the state legislators.

I once wrote and sent a skit to SNL about a Used Coffin Salesman. Like the stereotypical used car salesman but with coffins. Saying things like "What do I gotta do to put you in this thing today!!" It was funny on paper and in my head, but, alas..
