It was warm here yesterday - 70F. Towards evening there was a brief rain and as the Sun was starting to set it cooled off rapidly. This created kind of a groovy, creepy fog. Not super dense to wipe out visibility but patchy and thick enough to set a horror movie vibe. At the time I was driving through an old Civil War battlefield. Johnny Reb made one of his last stands as an organized fighting force there - Lee had already surrendered and it was quite a hopeless situation for them. If one was ever going to see a ghost this was the perfect setting. Fog and ground where men fought and died for nothing really. Ghostly apparitions marching in the fog. Just close enough too see but far enough away to pretend that you didn't see them. No such luck though. Only thing I saw was an Opossum trundling along.

Well.. WAN.. I'm not so sure that ghosts base their appearances on weather conditions.
If it is of ANY consolation I got held up in a line of traffic today as a herd (about 20) of Canadian Geese sauntered across the two lane roadway. Everybody stops for them and those fuckers go as slow as they feel like, and it seems like they do it on purpose.
Fuckin' Canadians.
They can look like us, walk like us, and most times even sound like us.
