The P-8A Poseidon was making some more circles yesterday.  I was out walking without my phone and I counted five passes before I made it back home in time to snap one picture before it started to head back to base.

Well this sucks.

GPS jamming and spoofing is mucking with domestic flights quite away from the Ukraine.

The Russians have their own unique satellite based navigation system, called something like GLONAS.  Wouldn't it be a shame if their system started getting jammed as well?

Yep. Osprey. They’ve located the wreckage. No word on the crew yet.

Looked over on the airline pilots forum for insights on that horrible crash in China. Read through all seven pages and came to the conclusion that their forum is just as dysfunctional as any other. In summary - pilot suicide, software problem, mechanical problem, pterodactyl strike, Trump's fault, Putin's fault, AOC will call for electric planes now and some good old sniping between posters.

I heard a news reporter last night remarking “so far no survivors have been found.”  Yeah, a straight-in nose dive at around 30,000 ft per minute will tend to do that.  ::)

Humm...
6-7 years old.

Uighur pilot?
EMP beam?
Fin break off? (Possibly, per Steve Moss, air accident investigator in the UK)
Boeing's fault?

China will blame the US somehow.

Hey BooBoooooooooooooooooooooooo

My first boss at WPAFB was part of test team for the bear ejection.

The Chinese use dogs to sled test their ejection seats.  I've seen video of a dog coming down under the chute after being ejected and hitting the ground running, then being chased down.  The next scene was the dog being autopsied.

Why can’t we use politicians. Start with the ones who’ve been there the longest.

It would be nice to get something useful for the country and non-self-serving out of them for a change.
