Announcements And Other Such Nonsense / Re: ASK KSM anything

Dear Kizzum @KSM

I love nasty guitar but I don't play. Kind of like I love football but I stopped playing when I was 13 when the boys got too big. Since I'm now self-employed and plenty of extra time, I'm trying to learn the mechanics of guitar. Kind of my own guitar appreciation course. I just got learned on Drop D by Rick Beato. Anything you could suggest? Or I could take up Spanish instead

P.S. Notice the pics of Houston, Tx are always at night. As long as the electricity is working

@Camazotz Automat - I just finished listening to an episode of a podcast I like, Most Notorious. I think you may get a kick out of this episode. The guests get rather philosophical while managing to also be terribly snarky. It has inspired me to check out a copy of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus from my local library. It took me places I had never considered going before.  ;)

@PolkaDot

Thank you!

I enjoyed it very much. The confrontational chemistry between Lester and Allison was exquisite.

I like that the host let them ramble on and he did not ask too many questions. There was no need. (Something certain radio show hosts don't often grasp, instead they follow a check list of tedious, basic questions and eat up valuable interview time.)

I won't go into my  theory of a way to interpret Mary Shelley's Frankenstein;  or, The Modern Prometheus.

It would bore readers into a state of synapses obscurae††† (or a state of: anti-galvinism, or Victor  Frankenstein level  catatonia, or web-page drift †††).

I will say that they did not cover my theory - but may very well have done so in their book.

I loved Lester's slight against Frakenberry®.

A very enjoyable podcast episode. Notorious could easily do a second episode with them for Halloween 2022. Plenty of material left to cover.

"Percy [Shelley] was a hoe." - Allison

Absolutely.  I don't think it was a coincidence that of everyone in Hollywood, it was Alex Baldwin

Yeah, those anger issues...

I think that whole family is fucked up. Billy Baldwin married Chynna Phillips. She borders on narcissistic and crazy as fuck.

Canucks shut out Kings in first game since firing coach, GM
I did not know that. I doubt there's any relation. The win is most likely a cosmic result from the 'law of averages' category but we'll see...

No.  I'm pretty great at raking leaves though.
Too bad. @ShayP can.

If this was an ask I would have told you to try unplugging the fridge.
It is a tell so I can't.
Rules, man.
Should've known. A guy who doesn't care if the beer gets warm.

... Because of Alec Baldwin's latest public comments, I think a prosecution is more than appropriate. That guy has gone 1000% asshole. No remorse except to get out of liability. Well, he was remorseful initially, he is no longer.

That’s good.  I would have mentioned the word Furman, but it wasn’t an ask.

It's a movie.  People use prop guns all the time - pointing, shooting, and so on.  Isn't that different from doing it in the real world?  If nothing else, it's expected and consensual.

He and whoever else was negligent in having live ammo anywhere near the property, let alone the set, and not checking to ensure it wasn't loaded.

I was surprised to learn they used real guns in movies and TV, why on earth wouldn't they at least disable them to ensure they can't be fired period?

After the Brandon Lee incident, a lot of rules were put in place. As for the law, what I am catching from all these lawyers talking about it is that there is no excuse if there is an incident. There is still a legal responsibility if something is done outside the realm of what is in the context of the movie.
