47° in my covered courtyard. 53° at a nearby airport.  (7:50 local time)

There used to be a website that had all of the neighborhood temperature sensors online. It got down to a corner intersection kind of accuracy. It disappeared maybe a decade ago, I wonder if they actually disassembled the sensor stations or if it was just the website that stopped operating.
Eh, nevermind...

I heard that asshole, bill cunningham, mentioned that NBC was announcing that people should not confuse weather with climate. Uh, OK...

Fascists talk that way, right? Reeducation camps are using remote learning...
Eh, nevermind...

NYC hit by biggest snowstorm in years; over 1,000 flights canceled

A travel-snarling storm buried part of the Northeast on Tuesday, dumping more than a foot of snow and cutting power to over 180,000 homes and businesses across the region.

When I first read that title, I thought I saw “NYC hit by biggest snowstorm in 1000 years . . .”

Intense storm with blizzard conditions, up to 10 feet of snow takes aim at California

A dangerous and impactful storm will bring several feet of snow to mountainous regions of California this week. Blizzard conditions can develop across the region, putting major passes at risk for closures.
