        What Will Mrs. Thompson Say?

You can guess up to six colors on question number two.  5 points for every correct answer.  (Yes, I know it's winter time, but Daily Reader's letter got lost in Mrs. Thompson's desk and it does deserve some answers.  After all, it is still 1919.)

Dear Readie,
1. Yes for the reason @anniem  noted.  ???
2. Blue, green, yellow, white, turquoise, pink.
3. No

Yes, sweaters will be worn, most likely more lightweight woolen ones.

Six possible colors for a darker complexioned woman: blue (on the pastel side), beige/tan, soft green, pink, light gray, and soft orange. Softer or more pastel colors would look better on you.

No, not if you will be going home alone with him. Better to wait until you know him better.

1. Sweaters will be worn.
2. Old Rose, navy, old blue, red, orange, and brown.
3. Not correct to attend a dance without an escort, thus the new acquaintance shouldn't escort her home.  If the young man is met formally though, then it is all right to escort her home.

1. Yes (otherwise we would not need to guess the colors, right?)

Like!

Dear WBDie,
Scream, cry, throw a fit, then suck it up and investigate. Your girlfriend may not have been accurate. If she is, then consider. You could always go to Middletown and get a job at the shirt factory.
Merry Christmas

You need two data points to make a line.  You only have one, and maybe its BS.  Don't react to the first one, let it go.  If you get another data point from someonelese then maybe it's time to investigate.

Your question leads to questions: Is your friend reliable? Are you steady with this soldier?
If the answer is yes to both of these then it is time to move on. You may choose to confront him but it will probably not provide any meaningful closure and only cloud your judgement.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
