Happy Tuesday Afternoon

The Moody Blues are the Fleetwood Mac of the sixties. Where else would you be in existing "hit" band and get new members who made them incredibly successful?  Steve Perry joining Journey, that might be another example. I am not sure, but didn't Steve Perry join after the first album or two?

Eh, nevermind.

Led Zeppelin II was the first LZ album I ever listened to or owned.

I was there in 1969, as a 14 year old that had never heard ANYTHING like that before!! I experienced it for the first time, and for many times after that, listening with a pair of the big over-the-ear Koss headphones, that gave me everything that Garrard turntable could squeeze out of, that Robert Ludwig mastered LP.  8)

The Cars
Ric Ocasek just recently passed this September. I always found him a very interesting artist and one of my favorite lyricist. Fond of throwing in a splash of Buddy Holly in their tunes from time to time. Some of my favorites:
*Candy-O
*Dangerous Type
*Touch and Go
*Up and Down

~ Oh inside angel, always upset
keeps on forgettin' that we ever met
Can I bring you out in the light
My curiosity's got me tonight~

 Ric Ocasek and The Cars

Enjoying the continuing journey of discovering infinite diversity...

Hey @sean92008 , @Aquarius and @Bart Ell , and any other rock music connoisseur, I've been watching this guys youtube videos. He seems to know a lot about rock music and, although I don't always agree with his picks, the videos are fun to watch.

Do you know anything about him? BTW, he says "Fat" a lot

A producer who was smart enough to see he would make more on YouTube.
He is also smart enough to balance clickbait videos with actual teaching ones.

He can be very entertaining at times. I still have friends who are married to analog recording... Reel to reel tape and digital formats but not computer-based...  I use Rick Beato videos to show them some of the things they can do. In the grand scheme of things, those examples are negative as they pretty much say that computers are ruining music.

His top 10 guitar intros, drum intros, and everything else, aren't his most insightful work.  His discussions on quantizing are impactful.  I also like some of his topics like why a song is great.

Eh, nevermind...

On the surface it plays like a love song. But in fact, he has her planted in her own garden. One of my favorite songs, ever. "That Georgia banker was a jealous man"

No.  The Moody Blues were, are still are, the Moody Blues of the sixties and of today.  No group has ever matched them.  E-V-E-R!

In a quite different mood, today I came across this really spine-tingling video of a Georgian choir singing the 53rd Psalm to Pope Francis. It's in Aramaic, the ancient older, original language of parts of the bible iirc, but certainly the languate of one of the most important and holy chants in Judiasm, the Kol Nidre.

This is really unusual, it literally gave me chills. Enjoy.

@Aquarius  I played Emory Oglethorpe Cato in Mame, but we didn’t do it in Aramaic.
Are we having fun yet?

Drat. You replied to this before I could fix the link, sorry. Just posted the corrected one. You're too fast!  ;D +1

Here is the correct one again.
