The locks at Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan connect Lake Superior to the rest of the world. They are closing for winter maintenance on January 15th 2022 at 11:59 PM. As such a whole bunch of shipping is headed down bound to avoid being trapped on Superior:

M/V Paul R. Tregurtha which appears to be up bound, headed for one last run into Duluth, MN or Superior, WI to pick up a load of iron ore for the season.

They have to transit the locks, cross all of Lake Superior, load iron ore and then head back down and exit the locks before the Army shuts them down for the year. A real nail biter if they are gonna try and turn and burn. Of course they might actually layup at Duluth for the winter.
