I had a Mellotron M4000D Mini but got rid of it when I sold off a bunch of junk I wasn't using much.
Now I just use the ezkeys Mellotoon vst if I need a similar sound.

A unique instrument it is. It was good to see Mike Pinder come back and be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year with the other remaining active Moodies, a long overdue honor for The Moody Blues and well deserved.

It would have been fun to play around with. I saw one of the old Mellotron models that The Moody Blues supposedly used in their Days of Future Passed album at a music museum tour years ago. A lot of history there and before the digital music age.

I like my EZKeys grand but my ABBA (Swedish upright or whatever they call it) just doesn't do it for me.  Other than running it through a edgy tube emulator, any suggestions @Bart Ell?

I watched the Patrick Moraz v. Moody Blues trial. It was completely sad.  Honestly, I can't listen to the Other Side of Life any longer.  Great album, as I remember.
