Definitely!!!
"Supernatural, perhaps. Baloney, perhaps not. There are many things under the sun." - Bela Lugosi as Dr. Vitus Verdegast in The Black Cat.

I enjoyed Karloff, Lugosi, and, yes, even Basil Rathbone, as Frankenstein's progeny, last Saturday night when Svengoolie aired "Son of Frankenstein."

It was Boris' last movie appearance as the monster, with Basil being cast in his famous Sherlock Holmes role in his next movie.   I got a few chuckles, too, with some obvious inspirations in the film for the brilliant "Young Frankenstein."  The Inspector Krogh character in "Son of Frankenstein" almost seemed like a parody, after "Young Frankenstein," especially every time he adjusted his prosthetic arm and when he was playing darts with Basil.  ;D

I've seen some color footage that was shot on the Son of Frankenstein set.  It would have been interesting if the film was shot in color though it is great as is.  Lionel Atwill was funny as the inspector.  Really was a parody in and of itself and then there was Lugosi's Igor.

Ha!  Yes.  The "green" Frankenstein monster.  A very entertaining movie with Rathbone, Atwill, and Lugosi.  Lugosi was great as Igor.   Or is that "eye-gore?"  ;)

A great Halloween movie marathon should include both "Son of Frankenstein" and "Young Frankenstein.  :D
