Unfortunately, lack of tourism has already hurt this area. Louisiana is known as a hospitality state for its festivals, food, sports, fishing, etc. and like all those who rely on that industry, it’s been bad times since COVID. Doesn’t help that New Orleans has a mayor who’s an idiot more often than not.

It's not good enough. People's lives must be crushed in any proper tyrannical socialist country. Any sense of pride or self-reliance is completely unacceptable! 🙄🙄🙄

Eh, nevermind...

All tourist places are suffering.  We’ve lost Outback, Bonefish Grill, Burger King, Popeye’s, Golden Corral, Krystal, a couple of Mexican places, 5Guys, numerous Chinese places, the vintage clothing boutiques, and even Office Depot.

I hope not, I was on our deck!!! What would our neighbor say!?
@anniem Neighbor would say "Damn city people" And then make a slightly disgusted face but not exactly look away either.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

Oh! You know people pretty well. I will not be tricked by them. They haven't been here all that long, and they came from really close to where I did. Perhaps I should make sure I don't look at their house!

Very very much. People are much friendlier here. And the view! Much less stress.
How are you doing?

Okay in the grand scheme of things. Our county is about to go on lockdown again and school has gone remote but we’re all healthy, happy, and content so I will count it as a blessing.

True. Do you suppose we will have to lock the country down from now on during flu seasons?

I'm not willing to risk it.
