I've heard from Hillbilly Jim.  Things are really bad in Western NC but he is alive, well and loving it.  No one can get in or out of the region where his mountain lair is which makes him happy.

Hope @JUAN is hanging in there.

Is he Diddying some asian chick?

Hahaha!

Just a reminder: Every 10°F drop in temperature equals a 3 PSI drop in tire pressure for a standard sedan tire.
Eh, nevermind...

What a glorious time.  More than 100-miles from the eye and we got lots of wind but little rain.  No power, no internet, no cell service, nothing for two days.  It was wonderful to not have anyone bothering me.  I got to read actual books rather than waste time on ellgab..
Merry Christmas - Nice things, and posts, are nicer than nasty things.

Although there is no guarantee how this La Nina will play out, there are some general trends. Experts say northern parts of South America could see more rain than usual. Southern regions of the U.S. and parts of Mexico could be drier than average. The northern tier of the U.S. and southern Canada could be wetter than average.
