For some reason tabloid dailymail like this stuff, as do I. There are also some good blogs sites that detail stuff. Crazy even driving through Chicago on the highway you see amazing cool buildings, stuck in traffic so had time to look, that are abandoned or tenement-level style. But good looking, originally. So weird. Back in the day though lots of places were build well and with some intention, compare, as an example, some old schools with the school warehouses now? Or small towns where the Courthouse was a prominent structure, versus some guvmint building courthouse now. And churches, often some of the first things built versus strip-mall or mega-churches? Folks wanted good structures, with interesting architecture, to last and appreciate. I find beauty even in old silos and grain operations and railyards. Functional but still nice.
