He’s now lived long enough to achieve the hallowed mission of doing Medicare commercials.  Dy-no-mite.

Given his status, I have to say "Die No Might!"

I could've sworn that JJ was dead, dead, dead! Since 2015 for some reason.   Hmm     This could be the lamest Mandela effect ever.

I never cared for that show he was in, but I saw him do one of those stand up comedy routines and he was extremely funny.

This one falls into the "well, naturally, I just assumed," category:

Henry Kissinger.

98.

Jumpin' Jehoshaphat!

I would have failed that test, too!

In my case, I think my brain switched Brooks and Carl Reiner, since they were such longtime friends.

I know Brooks is alive because about every month he trends on twitter without explanation and you have a bunch of people saying "Don't scare me like that Twitter!!"

Mine is John Astin, I was certain he passed away years ago. I liked his guest role on a favorite show of mine Night Court, did the Riddler a couple of times in the old Batman series and of course Gomez Addams in the Addams family. That might have got in my head when Raul Julia (who played Gomez in the early 90s movies of Addams Family) died I might have just place Astin in that memory as well. I was really surprised and happy he's still with us.

Great thread.  Now, another brain exercise and Google-hole of people I think are dead.

I swear there's been some recent incidents but I'm rather occupied now and can't remember them at the moment.
Eh, nevermind...

@sean92008

Thanks.

When I saw the same advertisement IO referenced, I found the Jimmie JJ Walker revelation disturbing - a classic "someone walking over my future grave" moment. I decided it  was time to document some of these freakish memory bubbles and also the reasonable assumptions, and expose them to public collapse.

I am overly proud of the title. I might just get intoxicated at an upcoming gathering and  gently (obtusely) steer the conversation toward Barbara Eden/7 Faces of Dr. Lao/I Dream of Genie.

When someone says, "I thought Barbara Eden was dead?", I will spring into action.

"Wrong! You're DEAD WRONG!!!" Slapping my hand down on a table. "Get it?!"

What a lunatic  jackass.

But still, I would be having "Good Times," - to borrow  from the still breathing JJ's show.

@PB
 I am doing everything in my power to not say "motel coil."

(Failed. I have no willpower.)

Addendum: John Astin is a Master Trickster and national treasure. Such excellent voice command/control in everything he worked on.

Incorrect assumption.

Comedian John Byner.

(Maybe because his old co-comedian from 1972,  Super Dave Osborne passed, I assumed Byner was gone, too. Wrong.)

His voice impressions of Dean Martin as an ant and of Jackie Mason as an aardvark, remain impressive.

Mr. Byner just turned 83.

MeTV recently added The Addams Family to their lineup, so I’ve been enjoying Mr. Astin on a nightly basis.  Cozi has The Munsters soon after and it’s a delight to then enjoy the affable Fred Gwynne, the amusing Al Lewis, and the stunning Yvonne De Carlo.  Either Marilyn isn’t too shabby, either.

Speaking of Byner...

Rich Little looked old to me in the 70s.  He's still kicking. Not that I actively thought he was dead...

Eh, nevermind...
