Yemen?  Ha, I hadn’t heard about that.  Is that where the latest mail order bride was located?

Well, we can't be sure but that was the next logical step.

Just listened to Ron Fink of Rapid Robots in Ultimate Art Bell. From 2003, he was talking about a lot of stuff that's happening right now. Really cool.

Art said he would like to have him back on and that never happened. George, obviously, can't handle intellectual forward-thinkers.

Eh, nevermind...

I wonder how many guests turn down the chance to be on the Snorge Show

I can imagine people like Michio Kaku might be more selective, but most people are attention whores and have something to sell.

It was kind of funny about that lady who put up with him for 20 minutes and disappeared before the next segment. 😁

Of all the people in the world, I'd give an estimate of 98.1%

Nerd alert:

Pictured is my Art Bell mug and my "Art Bell box" a little radio with a 256 GB microcard that is loaded with 180 GB's of the entire C2C W Art Bell library as well as Dark Matter and MITD.

Scoff if you want to - don't care.  :P

PS You'll notice that it looks to have some paint stain on it. Explanation - I was doing my @ShayP paint spill impression.

For sure! If you transfer them to VINYL that'll be cool!  :D

This comment reminds me of old-school 1970s Radio. Shows used to be distributed by vinyl. Spoken word programs, mainly religious would put the commercials in and everything. They ran perfectly to schedule if the turntable was running at the correct speed.  Any country bumpkin could run a radio station running these discs. I'm sure it was costly for mailing. Another thing I remember seeing in an old station (Magic 91 in El Cajon, California) were open-ended interviews. Where the local DJ would ask the questions that came with the record.

@KSM, that's a great idea. I have a Bluetooth box that is just abhorrently bad... If you switch modes, it makes a sound about as loud as a smoke alarm. The only way to avoid that high-pitch beep is to put in a thumb drive.

How old is that thing @sean92008 I'm guessing 4-8 years but it looks 24-28.

I love the little radio because it sounds like.. well, a little radio! That old classic sound the way the show would have sounded in the mid 90's.

Listened to an old classic from 98 last night and once again it dawned on me that Art really should have left well enough alone and never, ever, returned to radio after his pre Dark Matter retirement in 2013. Sure there were some good shows in DM and the MITD stint but all the mystique of the guy in the hiiigh desert was gone as he became like just another BellGabber and the curtain completely lifted and a somewhat flawed human being was revealed. Won't even go into the Redacted thing.
