Hi Bart,

Are you excited about the Bezos/Blue Origin launch into space?  It looks like everything is all set!

@Bart Ell
What do shredders such as @KSM or @sean92008  think of guitar players such as Barney Kessel

Or Charlie Byrd

Or the still living Roberto Menescal?

Merry Christmas

I'm not a shredder, I'm a sucker.

😁

Those old school cats knew their shit and are entertaining because of the awe factor. Even if the style of music is out of my appreciated genres.
Eh, nevermind...

@juan I dig it. I like that stuff. Always have.

I don't know that I fall in the "shredder" category anymore. Once I learned the "less is more" lesson I had to change my approach somewhat.
Our new song will be finished in a few days and I'll post it for all to trash, slam, and dislike in all its glory  :)  You can then at least tell me whether or not I am shredding in the lead gut segment.

Even though I feel that was a throw in question to qualify for this thread I will answer it anyway...

Yes, I look forward to listening to it a few times as I read that French government funded study that @anniem mentioned.
I am sure a link to that study will pop up on the world wide web any second now.
Gonna be listening and reading.
Reading and listening.
Good times.

Is this what you wanted to read?

https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/72/11/e921/5912603

I hope not because that research does not show false positivity rate of over 97% at all!

I’m too tired to do math, but the way I understand the chart is that at 35 cycles there were 74 positive results but they could only culture the virus in 2 of those samples. Not a very big sample set by any means.

I am a simple man, Gary.
I know you are not Gary but it fit the moment.
As I was saying, I am a simple man but I married a genius.
The genius works with this stuff every day so I ask questions.
I asked about what was posted and she said it was fearmongering bullshit.
She also said there was no such study done.
I read her a few lines of the one you linked and she told me that was not to find false positives but something about being infectious and viral load.
I have to be honest, Gary, I zone out when she gets going on the nerd talk.
She knows this so she usually gives me something to read.
This time she sent me this -

Quote
In a study published this week in Clinical Infectious Diseases, researchers led by Bernard La Scola, an infectious diseases expert at IHU-Méditerranée Infection, examined 3790 positive samples with known CT values to see whether they harbored viable virus, indicating the patients were likely infectious. La Scola and his colleagues found that 70% of samples with CT values of 25 or below could be cultured, compared with less than 3% of the cases with CT values above 35. “It's fair to say that having a higher viral load is associated with being more infectious,” says Monica Gandhi, an infectious diseases specialist at the University of California, San Francisco.

Was she a genius before she married you or just because she married you?

Bart,

Should a man that takes an iron ball in the nards and doesn't even drop his clipboard run for public office?
