I'm a traditionalist, a purist, but I have to disagree on this one...

Fuck the arrogant unpires, each with their individual strike zones.  Fuck 'em with their different strike zones depending on the pitcher and depending on the batter, and sometimes depending on the catcher and managers.

Fuck the unpires with their strike zones in general - from the belt to the ankles, and the middle of the plate to 6'' outside. 

What a shock it would be to everyone if a system were implemented where only balls actually over the plate and from the letters to the knees were called strikes.  What an adjustment that would be for everyone - pitchers, batters, managers, fans, broadcasters.  Imagine an actual set strike zone everyone could reasonably depend on.  I wonder what that game would look like

I love fastpitch softball.  The shitty level of balls and strike calling is so sickening that I can't even watch it anymore.  I shouldn't be able to sit in the stands and call a better game than the person standing right there and paid to do so

Players have to plan their at bats depending on who is umpiring that game, what that strike zone is going to be that day.  Then it all changes if another pitcher comes in.  Mechanical balls and strikes is decades overdue. 

And while we're at it, let's get rid of the DH
