Huge hammerhead caught in Corpus. I'm not going to be the guy leading it back to water by the head!  It didn't survive and apparently many hooks in the meat after processing.

Wow.

I'd never heard of shooting fish.  Is that after you catch them?  Probably better than letting them suffocate in a bucket like some people do?

You've never heard of shooting fish in a barrel?

I need to buy all new tackle.  Trying to hit the water in a couple weeks.  Bastards raised the license fee again.

Any recommendations on some good bass lures?  I may be the only person that can't catch a bass with spinner bait.   :-[

I like a good frog lure across the tops of the lily pads.

Favorite rods?...reels?

I have a Zebco Rhino that I purchased 30 years ago and that thing is awesome.  I'll never get rid of it.  I also love Daiwa reels.

I just picked one of those up at the Good will!  10 buxx

So Gravity was being serious with his question?  The water color does matter?  Shit.  I thought he was jabbin' me.  He does that every once in a while. Now I feel bad.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No, I just heard of fish suffering for hours in a bucket.  So, no lead gets in the meat?  Just the head?

actually you dont need to hit the fish. the shockwave from the bullet hitting the water will kill them.
statistics can be used to prove anything. 14% of the people know this.

Maybe if they are IN the bucket but not if they are in the water. In fact sometimes even shooting the actual fish when breaching or jumping, unless in the head (and with hardheads even then,) sometimes won't kill it.  It is all about placement. Folks kill gators and poach deer with .22, illegally but effective at close range and good placement.
