I will try but more of a chance in Jersey.
I was on Long Island the day before Hurricane Sandy hit.
There was a little old Greek man there with a food cart and we talked about how he came to America. I really enjoyed that conversation.
Also, it was the first time I had a Coney Island hot dog!

Thank you PBS! It started off as a joke but I do like sharing my experiences with you.
Something little, but fun.

I've been out here for eleven years and so far I've been hit by a car, a minivan, and I've had a tanker truck run over the front of mine.
Par for the course!
I'm curious, has 2 meter FM ham band taken any driver talk share from CB and channel 19?

I still run mine on road trips and it seems a lot less drivers have their ears on...

Imagine that being wrapped in bacon instead of breading - That's what I had! Heaven on Earth, my friend, Heaven on Earth. 🌎

No doubt!

I'll have a fried spam sandwich from time to time. I think that's as far as I'd like to explore the "congealed meat" venue! lol

Quite a few years back(8?), I delivered some rolls of paper to the Georgia Pacific plant just south of Jackson, Mississippi. My appointment was for 0300 and when I checked in, they told me to head to the top of the hill and park in the staging area until they called. On my way out they said "and don't give any money to those girls up there because they'll just run off with it."
I drove to the top of the hill and found a spot to park. I noticed the dome light on in the truck next to mine and there sat an old man, smoking a cigarette, with the most indignant look on his face. He motioned for me to roll my window down, and this is what he said:
"These whores keep waking me up and I can't get any sleep. I threw a cup of piss on that last one."
I laughed and laughed and laughed!
He must have gotten his point across because I slept comfortably until I received the call to head down to the loading docks.
I'll never forget that night!
