Hehehe  This place is great. Out in one of the common areas tonight where the main public grill is, there was a group of Asians cooking some sort of meat dish. They spoke nothing but Korean, but they had to be loud about it as if to get the attention from all of us beautiful crackers. I crackered myself up as I spoke up to ask if they would share any of their 'domestic pet' recipes. HAHAHAHA

Oooh fuck. I can't believe how much I rule.

Painful. Makes me long for the Everly Brothers.

Even Bubbles has a more tranquil tone.

Ugh  ::)
You're a real hit n' miss kind o' guy, Bob.
Don't shit up the thread with garbage. I know you're better than that.

Why not do what it says keeping within the thread introduction.

Here's How It Works

-Share a link to a song/video from whatever format. YouTube being the normal way, but whatever.
-Challenge (ask) another member to suffer through listen to the song and share their opinion. Their feedback.
-They, the formerly challenged, may then challenge you to listen to and comment on a song of their choosing.

I'll go first.

Ok, listening to it I had several thoughts - it's a little repetitive, at least at first, but later it wasn't as much, bluesy, which I like, it seemed like one of those songs that was just sort of blah - not terrible but never quite getting going, it had a familiar vibe - Syknyrd, no... Allmans... closer but no, someone who's music I could never quote get into but who was def talented - Stevie Ray Vaugh.  That's what it sounded like, another SRV song that didn't quite do it for me.

Ok, I'll try to pick one for you.

Nice. For me the problem I have is the lead guitar break seems inappropriate for the song. Some great points you make. I agree, but I like the song - sorta-kinda.

I look forward to hearing what you direct my way.

First song I've heard where the snare was mixed to be the lead instrument.  I hope comments from the general public are allowed.
I don't think there is any harm in educated comments like that. Or perhaps more of perceived observation like that.  The snare is quite snappy, yes. It is also EQ'd to favor the higher mids that have it cutting through the way it does, but that does not mean that it is louder than anything else. I sometimes get irritated when something like the snare drum sounds almost separate (not louder) from the mix, and I think that song may be an example of that due to the production facts I have already stated. I agree with you in a sort of roundabout way.

Nothing wrong with actual musical discussion.

The saucer must have been crewed by those little green men we heard about before Whitley told us about the Grays.  They must have been stupid to miss the nuke.  Isn't that what they come here to save us from?
