OK. I am starting the Super Bowl Thread now.

I am a support of the 49ers so I hope that they win. What do you Ellgabbers think?

All week we were told the pounding dished out to the Packers in Week 6 by the 49ers wasn't at all relevant to the game today, that GB was somehow a real threat. 

I'm glad the 49ers didn't have to play the Saints or Seahawks again, or have to face Baltimore again.  The 49ers have played quite a few games against elusive QBs already this year (Kyle Murray twice, Russell Wilson twice, Lamar Jackson), I think Mahomes won't have the time to throw/run that he's used to.

These are the worst 2 weeks of the year for sports.

Baseball hasn't reported to camp yet, it's the dog days on the NBA and NHL season, and the pundits need to fill two weeks with Super Bowl happy talk.  Get prepared for interviews with Jimmy Garoppolo's kindergarten teacher, grandmothers, and aunts and uncles.
