Of course Sommers didn't get into Dorothy Kilgallen, UFOs or the Kennedy assassination. He did say,, as does Shaw, that Bobby Kennedy made a helicopter trip from Gilroy that night. He also had proof that Marilyn arrived DOA at a hospital in Santa Monica, and her corpse hauled back to her house in Brentwood. This house was a very busy place that night. Mrs. Murray did a load of sheets in the washer that night.
Other Summers assertions: Marilyn had been under surveillance for some time. He named the guy doing it, but I forget the name. She had been sexually involved with both Kennedy brothers, but the affair with Bobb y was more serious and lasted longer. She attempted to phone him repeatedly that night. Joe DiMaggio did indeed bar the Ken edys from the funeral.
I heard or read someplace(not Summers) that she was planning to remarry DiMaggio ina few days. I tend not to believe it.
Mrs Murray(she didn't like being called a housekeeper) had the key to this mystery. I assume she's long dead, and as far as I know, took it all to her grave. If she had revealed whatever she knew, it could be solved in 5 minutes.
Goddess is a great book, but if you're one of those dyed in the wool Kennedy fans, you'll be seriously disillusioned. Just a warning.
