I wanted to name one of my daughters Jupiter.  Then my father in law pointed out she wouldn’t need to take a stage name.  He won the argument as I didn’t want to influence future career decisions.

Assuming Walker is 40 years old, he ran the thing for a third of his life. I'd want off the ride too.

He used to get pretty amped up at some members who called in to the gabcast or even more at some in the live chat.  He got pissed at me when after hearing him .. brag? about making over $2,500. on page views I sort of took a shot at the him hocking Coast/Bellgab merch in the store that was up at the time. But the guy had some real cool moments too, so there's that.

Years ago when one joined it was common to receive a welcome email from him asking where you're from, how did you hear about Gab ETC. Was very personable.

I didn't care for him, but I thought he was/is funny and creative.

But he clearly tethered himself to Bell's failed or half-assed projects, and I don't think that was a great thing for him or the site.

CoastGab worked because Bell was a ghost. The random Chex Mix of autists, cranks and funny/smart/mentally deficient people were enough to keep the asses in the seats.

The first several days one could actually see the posts being made by the members but it's been closed up, a private party now.  Kind of strange though, the stuff being posted by Michael (like those quickie vids of people doing fails 'n stuff) don't really strike me as being similar to things that he used to post.  They were more like something that someone younger would post.

Wasn't it about a year ago that MITD went screwy to those new owners?   Maybe it's one of them

I take a year or so off and all hell has broken loose. Dave's gone, Keith sold MiTD and the guys that bought MiTD are or aren't doing the show but they've taken over bellgab (poor brig) and put it on facebbook? Added to all this covid ravaged the world.

At least heater is still doing open lines and replays!
