Fall is Coming

Well, someday.  Peak summer, my least favorite time of year.  Hot.

But, Fall is coming.  On Tuesday, July 27, I saw the earliest Spirit Halloween store sign pop-up on the usually vacant building looking for a business.

Good ol' Spirit stores.  A couple years back I was in one, craving some sweets.  They didn't have much, but I did find a bag of gourmet jelly beans.  I didn't notice until after I got home that they were joke flavors, like vomit, boogers, stinky socks, etc.  That bag sat unopened on a bedroom shelf for months on end.  Until someone broke into my house when I was out.  That bag of jellybeans was one of the items taken.  Bwaaa Haha!!

Even thought it’s in the 90’s here, a Japanese maple in my yard decided to give a little preview of it’s scarlet beauty.

I don't like Winter, which means I'm not that exited about the coming of Fall.  I do like the Fall, it's always too short though.  Winter is beautiful, and I do like that.  Just not the cold, and not the rain on days when I want to go biking.

One of my least favorite sounds is dry leave rattling down the road in the breeze.  I usually first hear them in the dead of night, when all else is quiet.  It means Winter is right around the corner.
