I finallly got off my lazy ass and bought the Pilot G-2 gel pens and discarded the generic experiments.

They were bad pens.

Currently, I have a set of Pigma Micron for  stipling and line work which are similar to your Cop(t)ic pens.

I have not tried the Pentel water brush. Time to update my Amazon saved items! That looks very handy. Maybe even as a substitute for a Sumi-e brush technique....?  Very cool. Thank you.

Oh yes! I love the microns! The smaller sizes can get a bit scratchy though and I read the multiliners don't. Haven't played with them yet though.

Side thought: We use the Microns to labels bones in the Ornithology department of Denver Museum of Nature and Science. A little something to think about next time you're stippling away.  ;)

Ordered a dozen raw cedar wood pencils from Beacon Ridge today.

They have no paint and no printing on them. Stunning spartan beauty.

Makes a person want to get a fine-tipped word burner pen and brand tiny blasphemous images on the hexagonal barrel...

Or maybe cave paintings.

Or a Texas Rat Snake twining toward the eraser.

Or "Gimme something to write on, man."

Maybe just a simple lightning bolt. Where the "2" would normally appear.
