Ahhh - a bit too good! I hope that Japan is being good to you as well. If I were to ever go to Japan, I would spend most of my time researching the Samurai and Bushido culture.

Japan is really good right now. Halloween is in full swing and soon they go nuts with advertising fried chicken and elaborate cakes for Christmas then shutting down many places when new year comes. 2019 brings in Year of the Boar.
Time spent with cats is never wasted.

I'll bet you get questioned a lot about what America is like. (Make sure to tell them that truck drivers are ...awesome.)

Surprisingly not. People mostly ignore foreigners here. I think they get a lot from movies.

In keeping with thread: are there Japanese Truckers or is most by train or vessel? If trucker is there a sub-culture of music dedicated to truckers? As mentioned before I was fascinated to find out that in Europe, especially Germany but also elsewhere, there was "trucker" music- in their languages but somewhat like the USA trucker music that was most popular in the late 70's but still exits, to an extent.  Essentially C&Wesque music but instead of horses etc about trucking; missing family back home, travails on the road, deaths on the road, love, speed traps and weight checks, etc.

I think it's mostly by air or sea, as Japan really just a bunch of different-sized islands. I'm not sure about music. They do have "dekotora" though!

Wow. Like Asia (MiddleEast) or Mex etc bus n truck decoration but more electronics n lights. But look like good trucks n safer, though can't imagine legal- disco lights when driving? Distraction for others...and driver. Thanks for posting.

Huh! Interesting. That explains why their culture is more unique than others. I like it.
