Sorry - should have been more clear.  Was just wondering if your destination was in NC today...............

No, I'm shut down in Paducah, Kentucky right now en route to Lincoln, Nebraska.
Those pics were just something that I dug out of facebook. Maybe from three years ago.

I am telling you dude.  You have to do food reviews of Joe Tess’s and at least one Runza Hut.
Are we having fun yet?

I see.  I'm in NC so was gonna welcome you to the Tar Heel State but you are headed in the opposite direction.
Guess you won't have alot of steep grades to deal with in Nebraska.

As a matter of fact - I'll be swinging into that Runza Hut!

Remember, the Rockies start in western NE!

I was in Raleigh two days ago.

I better get a shoutout this time.  And if you ever make it to the south side of Houston or near the Johnson Space Center let me know. Even Galveston.

Yeah and the telephone pole is the state tree.

Dodge is the longest main street in America.

There is a fat checkpoint on I80 at council bluffs and an ugly checkpoint just before the Colorado state line. Or at least there used to be.

I was surprised at how small Dodge was - just a lot of meat processing plants.

I will take your word for it on NE, I've only been through it once and all I remember was flat and corn.

I'm a transplanted Detroit guy in Raleigh now.  Hope you had a good visit to 'Our fair city'..............

I used to be the only white guy on the Union Meat Packing tournament softball team.  I have been to places in Omaha no white man had been before.

I'm going to do a Midnight in the Diner episode of the Kenly Petro one of these days.
I'm down in Smithfield quite a bit.
Hey, what's that soda that they sell a hot version of down there? It's not Cheerwine.

Kenly is in a black hole for me.  If I'm headed south, I pick up 95 at Benson.  If I'm headed north, I'm on 85 and don't pick 95 up until Virginia.

Cheerwine is the big one, but I'm guessing Waynesville might be the brand you are thinking of.

I'm not sure that's it but I'll find it when I get there.
Boy, 540 westbound was about a mess wednesday morning around 0800.
That was one hell of a storm tuesday night!
