Just caught up on this thread!
In the UK we have people who are unofficially designated National Treasures. You are a treasure of EllGab Weiner! I'm loving this snapshot into your life! My dad was a trucker - lorry driver of the year (we call even the big rigs lorries here) in the UK 3 times! A lot of what you post reminds me of my dad. It's kinda bittersweet as I loved my dad cause he was my dad but wasn't overly keen on him, but your tales Weiner are kind of softening his memory so thank you
Spookcat - I don't know if you have tried Okonomiyaki yet but you must - OMFG.
Awww, thanks for those kind words, it means a lot! This is a strange way out here and I know that people are curious as to how we go about things so I thought that it might make an interesting thread for EllGab. If sharing my experiences out here has shed some light as to why we have some jagged edges, and has helped in softening a harsh memory? Well, I'll consider that a high honor, and my pleasure.
Welp, alright, clean that seat off and climb up in here - they switched things up and we've got 650 miles to Denton, Texas by tomorrow, 4pm.
Time's a wastin'!
