I'm a Jackstar fan.  I made this analogy before on BG, but to me he's the Harlem Globetrotters of these forums.  Everyone knows the Trotters clown around and embarrass fans and foes alike, but when those guys play serious basketball, they can bring it.  Same with Jack, when he was serious, he presented some of the best questions/arguments I faced on BG. Most of our discussions dealt with UFOs. We seldom agreed, and I took my share of jabs from him, but he's a bright guy who can hold his own on multiple topics with just about anyone when he wants to be serious.
