... @PB is one of those guys who thinks if he likes/believes something that it is imperative everyone else does too...

What did I say, exactly?  Oh right, I said it was subjective.

...  All very subjective...

Johnnie Jenkins. Taught Jimi.  Taught Duane Allman.  Not well known out of select circles because she hated leaving home.

To get back to @TigerLily ’s question about what we’re listening to, I’ve been listening to the blues again.  While poking around YouTube, I was surprised to find a live version I’d never heard of my friend Dru Lombar’s “Safe In Your Arms Again.”
Dru played guitar with Grinderswitch, the opening act for the Allman Brothers Band.  When that collapsed, he returned home to Jacksonville Beach and formed Dr. Hector and the Groove Injectors. They toured the US, Canada, Europe and Japan until Dru died of heart disease in 2005.
I think his gravely voice is perfect for this genre and I really like how clean and almost minimalist his playing is.

I'm trying to get caught up on the songs posted while I was out to lunch. This guy is awesome. Very clean and yes, his vocals are perfect with his playing. I love the blues too. Thanks for enlightening me @JUAN

With the exception of passive aggressive insults I seem to be on ignore in this thread.  :P

Hendrix doesn't/didn't come close to John Sykes, Doug Aldrich, and those types. Van Halen put it best when he said "he was more of a sound effect and pedal guy". And he was. He was great at it.

Very. Tasty. Shredding.

Sometimes the grunge is on the outside... like in the kitchen.

Must comment.

Seemed cringe at first but holy crap it won me over in a weird way. Weird little middle earth looking bass player is annoying though.

They are not as bad as some. But not as good as many. They really need to hire a good style imagist. Is there such a thing? Poor Mark Gormley. Everything about him says loser. Starting with his name
