No shit!  First time I saw Rushmore it was like.  "Oh.  Can we go now?"

Get free ice water at Wall Drug on the way! The "Bad Lands" are also awesome.

Yup, went to Wall Drug, but never did find the free water.

Had to skip the badlands, it'll be a reason to eventually go back.

Devil's Tower blew me away when I was out there last summer. Way better than over-hyped Mt. Rushmore.

Didja do the hikes around the tower and to the visitor center?

Kickass good workout!

If you like trippy effects check out the Deep Dream Generator. No app, works online. Many crazy effects and a real time killer.

https://deepdreamgenerator.com

This is a cat, sinking and frozen in muskeg. Very mild effects applied compared to what's available.

Sure did. Had to double back quite a ways too when a companion dropped their debit card. (Why it was out I'll never know)

Agreed. I was lucky enough to visit it in 2000, and again in 2004. There’s a weird feeling of connection there. Love that whole area.

Excellent lighting. I was there at high noon, more or less, so all my photos ended up washed out.

That had to suck.

It was about 90F the day I did it and steamy from thunderstorms the night before.

That's got stunning color saturation!

That KOA campground there is a good one too.

Devil's Tower, Wyo.

Family went when they were showing Close Encounter on the 40th anniversary. They don't let me in to the States so all I got was this hat. That's about as close as I'll ever get (until we get some major cross-border marihuana reforms anyways).

Fox in the yard this morning.  There were two but one got spooked and ran off before I could get the picture.  They almost have to have been two of the three that were playing on my back fence and chasing each other around last week.

Now that they've found the cat food I need to start chasing them away.

Baby opossum got in the house awhile back.  Took forever, but finally caught him let him go outside.

A few years ago I picked up one of these cheapo 120 film cameras, because it was the hip thing to do at the time. https://www.amazon.com/Holga-144120-120N-Plastic-Camera/dp/B000AL8JKW
The idea being that you get distortion and analog interference in the images from the film, the construction of the camera letting light in, the lens creating a vignette around the images, and the fact that the eyepiece is just a little offset.
I got a few good pictures over the years it took me to use up the film. But, the price tag on getting 120 film developed and then scanned just makes it not worth it to use it ever again.

These were taken in Michigan.
