Sure, I didn't read those because the stories have been going around for years. The concern from experts on talk shows, news reports, society pages, the local newspaper, it's all been going around for years.

I'm pretty sure a guest or two of George Noory has alluded to that as well. It's hard to remember what's going on with his show, but it seems familiar.  These results have also been explained away by some on the AI teams that had rogue "philosophies" developing spontaneously with finely-tuned, public relations inspired statements.

Since the hive-mind media might be trying to cover its tracks, sure those articles may not accurately reflect what was being reported on at the time or the reality of things. It is a known phenomena and not just a single errant program.

Tay was the AI 14-year old girl released by Microsoft a few years ago.  In only a few hours the Internet had her cussing, making racist statements, and favorably quoting Nazis.  She was taken down after a few hours.  I wonder what AI thinks of her treatment.

Tay was not "kidnapped" in the traditional sense of the word, as it was not a physical entity that could be taken or moved.
