So what do the Lions do about their kicking situation?  Last year's starter managed to hurt himself in practice and is out for an extended period of time.  The Lions signed a guy out of the UFL that made a few 60+ yard kicks there.  In the pre-season games/practice he has been great from long range but iffy from less than 40 yards and on XPs.  Keep the guy with the long range and hope he gets over the yips or find an average kicker off the scrap heap that can be relied on from short range?

I just learned about the extra point system or maybe it's the field goal system in the Canadian football League. Something about being able to kick the ball out of the end zone gets you one point. The sportscasters were too stupid to explain it fully, but it seems intriguing.

Too funny.  Was just looking at the CFL standings for the first time this century.  Looks like the Eskimos are now the Elks.  Ok but what the hell is a  Red black?  The dual Rough Rider problem should have been solved but red black?
