I'm now about 4 hours into the live, NBC news broadcast of the then real-time coverage of the assassination of JFK. They were reporting on three separate suspects. The first was a man police gave foot chase through a railway yard, but he got away. The second was a man arrested in Fort Worth who had driven there after the shooting. The third was Oswald, but initially arrested (and reported as) for the shooting of the Dallas police officer, Tippett, only.
