Falling asleep last night I turned on old Art Bell and it turned out to be Art interviewing Merle Haggard. It was pretty fun…talking about Vegas in the old days, Merle’s teenage years and prison stuff. I’d never heard it before. I’m going to track it down and listen to the rest tonight.

Merle was interesting, he normalized a lot of behaviors and choices…I bet that guy has some insane stories. Crazy life. He says near the beginning “I’ve always had trouble with money. I never could keep ahold of it”.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

SIT last night was from 1993 and done from Las Vegas.  It sounded like the tape had shrunk and Premrat did not correct.  Art's voice was higher pitched and the pace was very fast.
