Coast to Coast am with Ryan Wrecker
« on: May 23, 2025, 09:22:59 AM »
Hosted by Ryan Wrecker
Guests:
Seth Shostak, Joshua P. Warren

Saturday - May 24, 2025
Searching for Aliens / Area 51 Portal
About the show

In the first half, Seth Shostak, the senior astronomer at the SETI Institute, joins guest host Ryan Wrecker to discuss how science is looking for intelligent beings in the cosmos, and what these beings might be like. He'll share how his research utilizes large radio telescopes in his search for alien life. In the second half, paranormal investigator Joshua P. Warren will bring us details of his first-ever successful experiment opening a portal near Area 51. He will describe in detail the tunnel of light that opened up in the desert, as well as the many other bizarre phenomena he witnessed. Warren believes this opened a true window into other realms that have never been revealed to civilians.

6-10pm PT: Art Bell—Somewhere In Time returns to 2/10/98, when Art spoke with alien hunter Derrel Sims about abductees and implants, and Whitley Strieber about UFO cases in Phoenix and Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Ryan Wrecker is our newest weekend host to join the C2C roster. Born and raised in Michigan, he has traveled the radio dial like Dr. Johnny Fever. That includes stops in Lima, Fort Wayne, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and back home to Detroit.

"Healthy skepticism is needed in the world today," says Ryan. "I also think the possibility of anything being true is always greater than zero. The unknown parts of this universe outweigh the known, and the same could be said about this world. You don't have to believe in everything, but if you open the door to listening and trying to understand, you may learn something new that could shape the world around you. That's what I love about Coast to Coast AM - it's filled with voices and ideas that may not change your views, but can expand your thoughts and understandings."

Has anyone heard of this guy before?

Has Seth found an alien in the 100-years he's been searching? At least Joshua P (no dot) claims something new.

I've listened to Wrecker on numerous occasions, he hosted a syndicated show from KMOX (St Louis) called "Overnight America." It was nothing like C2C, primarily a light conversion program that delved into news and current events.  It was primarily caller driven, I don't remember a lot of guests.

I never thought the guy was a world beater, but with the possible exception of Syrette, he's superior to all the other rent-a-hosts who slog through their shows.  No idea if he knows anything about the usual C2C topics, but maybe IHeart is looking beyond George and plans to take the show more mainstream.

My guess is that they're ready to make a move and cut somebody loose. If there is a god, it would be George.

I saw a few posts on Reddit that made it sound like that Connie Willis might have been selling her airtime. Surely, speculation, but she is constantly trying to sell tons of things.

A couple nights ago he was on for a few minutes with Noory.
Sounded similar to the other recent new guest host.
I think they are auditioning these new guys now since Knapp dropped to one Sunday night a month.

Also some of the others are getting long in the tooth like Connie Willis and Lisa Garr.
Meanwhile Noory lately has sounded like he maybe developing dementia - forgetting he already asked the same question a few minutes earlier etc.

Noory got rid of the better guest hosts a few years ago.

Sounds like worth a shot. Shostak has to be the worst wet blanket in C2C history.
i'll take a gaping portal any time.

Wet blankets were mentioned here... A Bible believing Christian may have difficulty with some of the guests. It could be a real drag...  Grandpa Dave Schrader proved that point and it is probably why he was rejected if he was trying to get back into the mix.

PremSuck doesn't care though, they just need an ass in the chair that's warmer than room temperature.

Quote
The world of late-night radio just got a little more intriguing. Ryan Wrecker (X), the newest weekend host to join the Coast to Coast AM roster, brings a magnetic blend of classic radio charm and a fearless curiosity about the unknown. Raised in Michigan and seasoned on the airwaves from Lima to Fort Wayne, Milwaukee to St. Louis, and now back to Detroit, Wrecker's journey reflects a restless passion for radio and a deep, enduring love for the craft.

For Wrecker, skepticism isn't about shutting doors—it's about leaving them slightly ajar. "Healthy skepticism is needed in the world today," he says. I also think the possibility of anything being true is always greater than zero." That perspective fits perfectly within the Coast to Coast AM ethos, where UFOs, unexplained phenomena, and unconventional thinkers find a curious and willing audience.

Wrecker's approach isn't to convince you—it's to get you to consider. "You don't have to believe in everything," he explains, "but if you open the door to listening and trying to understand, you may learn something new that could shape the world around you."

As he settles into his weekend slot, Wrecker isn't just another voice behind the mic—he's an explorer guiding listeners through the vast terrain of what-ifs. Expect thought-provoking interviews, surprising theories, and a welcoming space for ideas that don't always fit within the mainstream.
