Yeah, but he has his heart set on being a paranormal carny so he can carpool with Chip Coffey to all the "Cons".

Weird how it is fine for one to do it but the crime of the century for another to do the same.
The sooner you accept that every host outside of Art wants to do as much TV and as many conventions as possible the sooner people can take you seriously.

I don’t care if someone has other interests such as TV shows.  I just want them to do a good show and not talk about their other shit unless they want to buy a commercial from Keith to promote the shows or woocons.  I don’t want to hear self promotion stuff in archives that I have to pay for.

I know.  i could have put this in the truth thread but whatever.

You mean you reached out to find out actual truth instead of pulling a Bill and inventing your own story and calling everyone lazy?
Commendable.

Yes. I did, I am an adult. Lol.  In fact, he didn't answer me when I sent the first email, so I sent him another email a week later.

That's the good news, but who's the new host?
I'd like to assume it's Tim Weisberg, but if the universe was right he would have been there from day one.

I like Tim and I would be happy if he took the show over.  Does anyone know who Greg Lawson is?

Edit:  I found who he is.  My first google search wasn't helpful.  Then I thought to search on MITD.

Half the Art Bell archive is him selling books, pills, Pizza Punch, a CD collection, his weekend radio show, a few of his kids, limited edition wooknacks...

I don’t pay to listen to those either.

Hosting a fabricated television show emulating a known huckster like Holzer isn't even it, but why not call it the Schrader Files? It has more to do with selling out the paranormal experience and being part of the con. Tim does this? I don't think so. But the bottom line for radio is, Tim is a much better host.
This show is going on the air no matter what. -Heather Wade

I had planned on passing out tonight. Guess I should stick around for this one.

As much as I can't tolerate tee vee, hollywierd, or anything associated with it, Dave did come in and provide some stability to the show after Heather pulled a 404. For that he is appreciated and has my gratitude.

As for whoever or whatever happens next, even the live podcasting, must go on.

:)
Ask me about the legendary desert Bigfoot. A.K.A the Sandsquatch and his more elusive cousin, the Albino White Sands Dunefoot.

Isn't it a social media rule that if your are leaving, telling everyone you are leaving is a moot point?  K....Bye.

Dave was never a good fit for MITD.  From the get go, his focus on MITD was never 100%, and that hurt the franchise and fans felt that.  He was always running off doing other gigs.  It was said that would change as these were prior commitments, but it never did.  Dave was always promoting his other shows and even some times topics from those shows would creep into MITD.  If MITD was hockey and True Crime was baseball....fans tuning into watch hockey don't want to watch a baseball game.  His lack of passion for certain paranormal topics was very noticeable and that too hurt the franchise, undermined the guests for those topics, and pushed fans who were passionate about certain topics away from the show.

Fans of Art Bell's MITD weren't looking for a format change after Heather Wade went sideways, they simply wanted a host to drive the bus, Keep It Simple Stupid applied.  I just hope the rebirth of MITD goes back to the tried and true format that it use to be.
