Does Washington DC have the all around worst team names?
Wizards - basketball
Nationals - baseball (former MLB teams were both the Senators (now Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins)
Redskins - football
Capitals (caps, or craps depending on the year they're having) - hockey
Horrible. At least when the basketball team was the Bullets that wasn't too bad.
LOL! I'd say so. Like you said, the Bullets was't too bad. Then they became PC because the name was encouraging shootings.
Nationals and Capitals suck big time as names. I won't even comment on the Redskins.
At least they have the D.C. United. That's a cool name for a soccer club.
