LOL! Did that touch a nerve? It's funny, as a kid I never thought anything was strange about that whole scenario, but as an adult, well it's definitely creepy! Really the whole story of Snow White is dark and twisted. It really makes one wonder who thought that would be a great story for kids.
Haha.. Same here. I remember not thinking anything of it when you're a kid. Especially nursery rhymes. Into my teens I heard my Mom singing Rock a Bye Baby and listening to the words. I said "What in the world does that mean!? Have you ever paid attention to the words"? Cracks me up. And having read the real stories on a lot of those stories we heard are pretty insane. Most seem to have been made to scare the kids or warn them to listen.
There's a great podcast out there that covers these, it's called "Tales" from the Parcast Network. They're fairly new and that network has some other great shows also.
