When I was nine a lawn dart went straight into my right ear and fucked up my brain. Now every time my wife starts up the microwave I piss my pants and forget who I am for a half hour or so. 

That didn't happen but that last part is just too funny.

I had a similar experience when trying to teach my son how to fish when he was 4. I rigged up his snoopy rod with a bullet shaped worm weight to let him practice casting. A few minutes later I was on the ground writhing in pain with no knowledge what had happened.  His 3rd or 4th cast wound up shooting that weight precisely into my left ear canal.
