Nice to see it still being thrown in these modern times - where velocity and spin rate rules.

Funny, today I had a suggested video of who's throwing the knuckleball in the major league and in the minors today. It must be a year or two old. It's groupthink, The lovely people at Google are trying to brainwash us, right?
Eh, nevermind...

when the female sportscaster covering the Oakland A's is featured in this video, it sounds like she doesn't know the game, she certainly doesn't know the standard descriptions...

Eh, nevermind...

Did the Padres move to LA, or was that the Clippers?

They fire one of the five worst umpires in baseball, well forced his retirement. Now this article about the most accurate umpire being suspended comes out...

Speaking of knuckleballs, the big problem with Matt Waldron of the Padres is that he also throws a slider in the low 90s, along with a regular fastball that I believe in the mid 90s. You can't get a glove that does the knuckleball well and can handle the heat.

I hope the knuckleball comes back I also hope the screwball comes back. It's not all about heat. I believe it was Sandy Koufax's catcher, Norm Sherry, who told him to stop throwing so hard and start throwing smart. Supposedly that was the big change in his approach that made him the great pitcher he was.

More strategery!

I like Waldron a great deal - wish the Tigers had him instead of all the money they gave to Kenta Maeda.

Would love to see a screw baller or two back in MLB.

The Tigers hit into a 1-3-5 triple play tonight. First one in MLB since 1929.
